How long have you been teaching?
This will be my 6th year in the states and I have two more years under my belt in Jamaica.
What makes HA special to you?
I love working with the extremely dedicated staff. We have a very tight community and we are like a big family. I know that I can go to any teacher in the building if I need help with one of my students or a lesson plan and every teacher will be willing to help me. This is a unique school, unlike any I have ever seen before. I am so fortunate to be here, growing and learning as an educator.
Teaching Philosophy
I am a constant learner and I hope to model that for my students.
Favorite Student Story
I came to HA with a fear that I would be teaching so close to middle school students. (They have always intimidated me.) It seems I came at a perfect year because last year’s graduating 8th grade class was incredible. I established great relationships with some of them and now I realize that middle schoolers are in fact human!
