How long have you been teaching?
Seven years--six years as a 4th grade teacher and one year as a librarian.

Teaching Philosophy
Through the library, I hope to instill a love of not only reading but learning. I strive to empower students with the ability to independently access and evaluate information in conjunction with becoming lifelong learners.
Favorite Student Story
Last year, I had a kindergarten student approach me one day. That student gave me a huge bear hug and exclaimed, “Ms. Dewane, you are my favorite librarian! Do you want to come over to my house for Passover?”
